For many of you out there the May and June months are the bringers of exam time. Meaning when you should be studying you are “pwning noobs” on MW2. So here are a few tips to get you though the tough exam time.
- Self Control– Believe me I know it is difficult to study while your Xbox is pretty much staring at you pleading with you to play it. if you think you can’t resist the temptation, you might need to stick you 360 in the closet for a while. But just think after exams are over, you have allllllll summer to play.
- Split your time– Studying for hours on end with no break is not beneficial. Split your time up into study hours and gaming hours. Study a little then play a little. Give your brain a break, you might find it easier to absorb information after your relaxing game time.
- Relocate– Hit the library or study outside. If you can’t resist the allure of your console, go somewhere else. This goes back to self control. If you don’t have any, get away for a bit to do your studying.
- Get a Study Buddy– Preferably one who isn’t into gaming. They might be able to help muffle the calls of you console.
So good luck to those of you with exams coming up. Don’t let your video games ruin your grades. And before you know it, you will have the whole summer to forget everything you just studied and play your games.
Christmas is fast approaching people. Only a few shopping days left before the big day. But as we all know Xmas is bigger than the presents we give or the money we spend. Its about spending time with your family.
So my speach to gamers today is…
Try not to spend the entire day playing your new games. It’s a tough request for me to make but just give it a try. You have alllll Christmas vacation to play until your vision blurs. On Christmas try to keep the playing to a minimum and hang out with your family. Drink hot chocolate and watch the Disney Parade together. It might be the best gift you give them.
Sorry for the preachyness but I know all you gamers out there will open those gifts and head straight to your room without a word. Think about chilling with your family for the day. It might be better than you think.
Merry Christmas gamers!!
