Tomorrow Xbox 360’s motion control Kinect hits store shelves. It’s come a long way from the first announcement that was “Project Natal”. But will you be getting it?
Hardcore gamers seem to have no interest in the new peripheral while family gamers are excited to get their hands on it. Personally, I’m not itching to get my hands on it. It’s other item that will be nestled under my Christmas tree.
But I am excited that the Xbox 360 community will grow with the new motion controller. While I assume the usual FPS and other M-rated games will stay away from using motion control many games designed for children and families will bring in new users.
Microsoft has been missing out for the most part when it comes to the young children. Wii has been ruling that market for some time. It’s about time Microsoft get in on that.
So to the hardcore gamers who have no interest, don’t buy it. But the gaming industry is a business and Microsoft has been missing out. Can’t blame them for chasing the dollar and jumping on the motion control bandwagon.

Kinect was fun at 1st. But it honestly got boring quite quick. Though Kinect Sports Bowling was amazingly fun. HAHA

Well put, Jill.. I will not be buying it right away, or anytime soon. My youngest is 6, and we have so much fun on the Wii(and are used to it). Really don’t see the need to learn yet another controller scheme(360, PS3, Wii, etc) for something I will rarely use. I do hope it opens some doors for other people to check out the xbox. My poor PS3 collects an awful lot of dust these days.

most of the websites reviews I saw said that Kinect was not worth getting, I heard complaints about the user interface and game titles.
